What is Botox® ? Botox is the trade name for Botulinum Toxin Type A. It is a purified bacterial substance which when injected into the face muscle fibres, blocks the nerve signals causing the muscle to relax which in turn, reduces lines and wrinkles caused by contractions of underlying face muscle. It is most effective in the treatment of frown lines, laugh lines, crow's feet and other dynamic wrinkles. It has been proven to be safe, effective and is now one of the most top ranked non-surgical cosmetic treatments in the UK. |
